Largest photo ever taken.
Nasa just released the largest photo ever taken.
On January of this year, Nasa released the largest photo ever taken. The image is the equivalent of 1.5 billion pixels. (69536 x 22,230). The image is of the Andromeda Galaxy, our closest neighbor, captured by a space telescope.
Obviously, there is no digital sensor this big so the largest photo ever taken is composed of 411 telescope images. The images are then stitched together in post-production to make the resulting images. It takes you through 100 million stars and travels 40,000 light years. Please enjoy this wonderful video of the largest photograph ever taken.
